Avon seeks direction on OHV use on public streets in Wildridge
Happy Spring!
I would like to ask for your support. Avon Police Chief Daly has written a report asking for the Avon Town Council's direction as it relates to OHV use on public streets in Wildridge. While it is not currently being enforced, present code prohibits the use of OHVs on public streets. Towns like Eagle and Gypsum have an ordinance that allows for OHVs to be driven from private homes to recreational trailheads. We would like Avon to adopt something similar. Please email council@avon.org or post your commend to the Engage Avon website to let them know you are in support of such an ordinance. Please also consider attending the Community Work Session that has been scheduled for April 13th at 5pm during the regularly scheduled Avon Town Council Meeting. This is a very important step toward ensuring mid valley summer motorized access remains open and winter access reopens.
Please feel free to share a link to our WTC website with your friends and neighbors.
Thank you in advance for your support!
