Update on Town of Avon Ordinance Allowing OHV use on streets in Wildridge and an upcoming Work Session on FS Rd. 779
Great news! Earlier this month, the Avon Town Council directed staff to begin work on an Ordinance which would legalize the use of OHVs on town streets in Wildridge. This would provide for use to and from Forest Service trailheads. The first reading of the Ordinance is on the Avon Town Council Agenda for the May 11th meeting. The second reading is on the Agenda for the May 25th meeting. Please plan to attend these two meetings to voice your support. Comments can also be emailed to council@avon.org.
During the May 25th Council meeting, the Town will also be holding a Work Session on Forest Service Rd. 779. The Town is asking for public comment regarding US Forest Service Road Access on it's Engage Avon website. If you have not already done so, please post a comment there or email council@avon.org to let them know you support motorized access to public land. The opposition has been writing letters so it's very, very important that your passion is voiced and heard.
Thank you in advance for your help and support!
