Please attend the Avon Town Council meeting Tuesday night at 6pm
Just a friendly reminder to PLEASE ATTEND the Avon Town Council meeting on Tuesday, November 16th at 6:00p.m. or , in advance of the meeting, WRITE TO council@avon.org to show your continued support of the Town’s OHV Ordinance and to support the Town and WTC’s application for the CPW OHV Grant to pay for FS Rd. 779, Metcalf Creek Rd., Maintenance Support.
The OHV Ordinance review is scheduled for 6pm and the CPW OHV Grant Application at 6:30pm. Information on both can be found starting on Page 30 in the Town Council Packet Materials.
The key talking points for the OHV Ordinance review are that users are obeying the posted speed limit and all safety requirements, that traffic has NOT increased as a result and that there is no need for future review.
Key talking points in support of the CPW OHV Grant are that this is an innovative approach and collaboration between citizens, homeowners, OHV enthusiasts, the Town of Avon, Eagle County and the Forest Service that preserves and maintains access to public lands and ensures it’s continued use and enjoyment for future generations.
Finally, I told the Town that WTC would contribute $1,500 toward the FS Rd. 779 Project. Please consider writing a $100 check or making a donation securely on our WTC site to help us achieve our goal.
THE OPPOSITION IS STILL OUT THERE AND WE NEED YOUR VOICE TO BE HEARD!
Thank you for your continued support!
