FS Rd. 779 improvements are now complete!
Happy fall! I hope this finds you well!
It’s DONE! I’m so excited and honored to announce that the heavy maintenance project on FS Rd. 779 is now complete. 90 water bars have been added to divert water and aid in drainage, rocks have been removed from dangerous corners and the dead and down trees have been pushed back from the road so that it is now wide enough to accommodate a full size pick up truck.
The route is still a high clearance, challenging 4 wheel drive route but is now sustainable and a bit safer. Thanks to the detailed work of Roby Forsyth and RPM Construction, we’re getting rave reviews from hunters, firewood gatherers, Jeepers, hikers, bikers, dirt bikers and off highway vehicle enthusiasts.

Many thanks to Colorado Parks and Wildlife for funding the project through the Off Highway Vehicle grant program, the Town of Avon, the Eagle-Holy Cross Ranger District of the White River National Forest and our generous community. Together, we did it!
Thank you to all for your support!
