Support OHV access at Second Gulch in Eagle Ranch and proposed changes to trails in Eagle

Happy winter! I hope this finds you well.

The Town of Eagle Town Council will discuss increasing the width limit on the Second Gulch trail at their Council meeting on February 28, 2023, at the Eagle Town Hall. Council meetings start at 6pm. Agendas are generally published by the Friday of the week before the meeting. Agendas can be viewed on the Town Website by following this link.

Background information about this topic can be found in the meeting packet for the September 6, 2022 Open Space and Recreation Advisory Committee meeting by following this link.

Please share this information broadly with any interested stakeholders or community members. If you are not able to attend, please consider sending an email in support of increasing the width of OHV access at Second Gulch to the Town at brian.lieberman@townofeagle.org.

Additionally, according to this Vail Daily article, the Town of Eagle Open Space and Recreation Advisory Committee, Hardscrabble Trails Coalition and Vail Valley Mountain Trails Alliance are seeking community feedback on proposed changes to trails in the Eagle area. This plan does include the decommissioning and rerouting of some motorized trails. The detailed plan can be found here. If you are a hunter or OHV enthusiast and recreate in the Eagle area, please review this plan and submit feedback to brian.lieberman@townofeagle.org; info@hardscrabbletrailscoalition.com and info@vvmta.org.

Thank you in advance for your support!
